Tallinn and St Olaf's Church

Tallinn, the capital of Estonia is truly a fairy tale city. Today it is a mixture of the old and the new. The old part of the city with St Olaf’s church tower, at 124 metres, visible from most of the city was the highest building in the world from 1549 until 1625.

We took the ferry from Helsinki and the short 80-kilometre journey was very comfortable. we began our Tallinn experience by visiting the modern part of the city before passing through the gates to the old town.

And so began our journey through the fairy tale city

Tallinn is a city that I would gladly return to, next time hopefully I would be able to spend a few days just wandering this charming town and enjoying coffee in the numerous cafés that abound in this UNESCO World Heritage site.
