These are a few of the UNESCO World Heritage sites that I have visited. I do not travel to a site because it is a World Heritage site, I travel to learn and of course enjoy my passion of photography. The architecture and construction of the ancient sites really amazes me, these sites have withstood time and the worst that Mother Nature can throw at them, yet modern buildings have crumbled under these conditions. The accuracy and workmanship of the ancient sites is something that will always intrigue me, how these civilizations constructed these buildings before machinery, steel and modern methods used today is definitely one of the wonders of the world. I enjoy wandering through old walled cities and ancient sites and it’s a lifetime experience when one can enjoy an evening of music in an ancient Roman coliesium such as El Jem in Tunisia. The natural beauty of the natural sites is always something that remains etched in one’s memory and to absorb this beauty is another wonder of Planet Earth.
