Ross Castle, Killarney

Today was the first day that it rained all day. However, that was not going to stop us from enjoying the sights of this beautiful part of Ireland. After a hearty breakfast at Ballyseede Castle we drove into Killarney and visited the Tourism information Centre before heading off to Ross Castle, where at least the swans and ducks appeared to be enjoying the wet weather.

After Torc Waterfall we drove up to Ladies View, into Black Valley and drove through the Gap of Dunloe with Macgillicuddy’s Reeks towering to our left. Then back onto highway N72 and back to the warm open fire at Ballyseede Castle.

Even though the rain dampened our spirits at the beginning the spectacular scenery quickly warmed us up.
