  1. Wow.. what a experience you have Peter about travelling. As a Pakistan I have to say that Pakistan offers a lot to a tourist.. A country with desert, sea shores, rivers, and the mountains. There is one place that you have not visited is Kuwait. I would really like to read what you have to say Kuwait.. Keep it up.

    • Northern Pakistan is one of my favourite travel destinations. I have been there three times and now want to visit Shandur Pass for the polo match and Chitral Valley

  3. Hi,

I am the publishing editor of 72&Rising Magazine, a magazine dedicated to all things water. The magazine covers everything from wildlife and conservation, science and research, people and cultures to photography, travel and adventure.

We are currently in the process of redoing our website where we hope to have submissions from a wide range of people that love and are involved in water in all its forms. I recently came across your blog and wondered if you might be interested in contributing an article with images to our site? We would of course include a link back to your website.

We also of course look for content for our magazine – please contact me for more information if you are interested.

    Many thanks

Thanks for following my posts. Quite interested in your literary connections. A step-line of mine included Kenneth Grahame and Rev Hawkins of The Prisoner of Zenda, so maybe the genes have filtered down to both of us!

  16. Hey there Newbie Spikey!
(for your info, a Spikey is the term for folk who are part of the clan known to be followers of Uncle Spike 🙂

Thank you… I really appreciate that as I for one, know how many interesting and entertaining blogs are out there.

Blogging since June 2013, my aim is to deliver an eclectic offering of posts, from my ‘point n shoot’ attempts at basic photography, to the sharing of my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day to day happenings here on the farm. Oh, plus a few observations, opinions and lighter-hearted stuff thrown in for good measure.

I normally keep to a couple of posts a day, maybe 3-4 at weekends if I have something special to share. But if you are at a loose end one day, maybe you’ll enjoy trawling through some of my older stuff too. I have added plenty of categories to help in said digging process.

Thanks again and hope you have a great day…

    UNCLE SPIKE
